Denis Wick Products

Challenge

Denis Wick Products Ltd., a globally recognised manufacturer of mouthpieces, mutes, and accessories for brass instruments, faced the need to modernise its outdated website. The goal was twofold: to better engage its target audience and to enable business-to-business ecommerce ordering for UK dealers.

Solution

PENNInk Productions developed a tailored ecommerce platform designed to meet the needs of multiple audiences, including the general public, dealers, distributors, and both professional and amateur musicians. The project combined a fresh, responsive design with a robust online catalogue and UK dealer ordering system.

The result was a website that not only positioned Denis Wick Products as an industry leader in brass accessories but also streamlined internal processes. By reducing the administrative burden of product management and encouraging UK dealers to place orders online, the site freed up valuable staff time.

Stronger Brand Presence

Since the launch of the redesigned DenisWick.com, the brand’s online visibility has seen marked improvement. The new site offers a cleaner, more intuitive user interface with enhanced navigational elements tailored for different user personas (Performers, Students, Educators, Parents) – helping different audience types find what they need more quickly and easily.

The product pages now include richer detail – full specifications, supporting content like articles and videos – and improved filtering/search tools. These enhancements help users make more informed decisions and spend more time engaging with the content.

The updated dealer locator and “where to buy” features, plus location suggestion on product pages, reduce friction for users wanting to buy in person or through dealers. This increased ease of purchase helps convert site interest into action.

Because of these UX and content improvements, key metrics – such as sessions, new users, page views – have all increased. Meanwhile, bounce rates have dropped, indicating that visitors are exploring beyond just the landing page. Lower bounce rate + more pages per session = a sign the site is both attracting new visitors and retaining their attention.

Search engine performance has also strengthened. The improved structure (with well-organised content, better on-site navigation, persona-driven pages, etc.) makes it easier for search engines to index the site correctly, improving rankings for relevant terms. More visibility in organic search brings more new users to the site.

Overall, the redesigned DenisWick.com is doing more than looking better – it’s performing better: attracting a broader audience, keeping them engaged longer, and guiding them toward conversion more effectively.
