How we get your results
Let's take a look at how we run our web design and development projects, so you have a clear understanding of what to expect.
Once we have a little bit of information about your project, we will sit down with you and take a look at what you want to achieve. We'll define your goals and objectives and start to list the resources you have.
We'll ask all the right questions to make sure we understand exactly how we can help you. Some of the questions might be tough, or even uncomfortable. That just means we’re asking the right questions.
We don't put out long, boring or unnecessarily verbose proposals. Our proposal is really just a way to make sure you can see what you’re getting. We document what we understand the business needs, as well as what we recommend to achieve your goals.
Once you've received the proposal and both parties have accepted it by signing and dating, we submit our first invoice to secure the deposit, schedule a kick-off meeting and the next instalments, commencing 30 days after the kick-off meeting.
We include a mandatory kick-off meeting with you to make sure we're all on the same page. It’s an in-depth discovery session, which allows you and us to document what we need.
We'll uncover the launch plans, marketing strategy, and the designs and layouts that you like.
Once we have all the information we need, we'll create a sitemap. This is like the ‘skeleton’ for your website. It'll be a map of all the pages and features on your site.
We can plan out the user experience or customer journey, look at how much content we need, and begin the design stage.
Now the preparatory work is complete and we have defined the criteria for building the site, we commence work on design and development, breathing life into the creation we have discussed and agreed.
We will request approval for each of these phases of the project, confirming the right approach one step at a time.
Rather than try to explain what we're doing or blind you with science, we're going to create a prototype website. We can show you in the browser and demonstrate to you how your site will work.
It isn't a finished design, but it is the easiest way for both of us to show proof of concept and know what we're talking about.
Now comes the fun part! We’ll design your site based on your needs and our experience. This is a two-way process and we try to incorporate as much as we can of your branding requirements.
We'll design something that matches your brand and bring it to life to reflect you and your business or organisation.
Any specific functionality, e.g. eCommerce, learning management system, events management, etc. is built out during the Development Phase and tested to verify correct operation.
Here's where your design is turned into a living, breathing website. All the design elements are coded and functions built out.
Content integration happens here, too, placing your text, graphics, images, and videos where they need to go on the site.
We'll both check over the site and note any final refinements. We take care of the fine-tuning and prepare the site for launch.
The final stages takes us through final pre-launch checks and taking the site live. Then it's time to celebrate a successful launch and start promoting the site on social media channels, in newsletters and press releases.
Last, but by no means least, it is important to safeguard the new site with a Care Plan.
